The short answer: MT5 REAL ECN. No other type will connect to the PAMM account, and getting this wrong is the most common mistake at the start.
The difficulty is that the broker account types page does not list MT5 at all. Anyone choosing an account from the broker site will reliably pick the wrong one.
The mismatch that trips people up
The account types page on the broker site lists three options, and all three are MT4: REAL ECN, REAL STANDARD and REAL CENT. The platforms row names MetaTrader 4 apps only.
The PAMM, meanwhile, runs on MetaTrader 5, and the account opening form has MT4 REAL ECN preselected. Leave it as it is and you open the wrong account.
An MT4 account will not join the PAMM. Check the type before you fund anything.

These values are published for the MT4 range. The broker does not publish them for MT5, but the $5 per lot commission on gold (XAUUSD) matches the ECN terms, as the terminal shows.

Why ECN rather than Standard
The difference between the types is where the cost sits: ECN charges an explicit commission against a narrow spread, Standard charges no commission but the spread is an order of magnitude wider: from 1.5 against 0.1.
For a strategy that enters often and holds briefly, a narrow spread matters more than the absence of a commission: a position lives about an hour, and a wide spread eats the move it is trying to capture.
There is no choice to make: the PAMM runs on one specific account type, and that type is ECN.
Where the type is switched
- In the broker cabinet open the Accounts tab and click "Open new account"
- A panel appears on the right with MT4 REAL ECN preselected in the Type field
- Change the type to MT5 REAL ECN
- Currency USD, leverage 1:100
- The account details arrive by email: save them separately
What to do if you already opened the wrong one
The type of an existing account cannot be changed. You need a new account of the right type, which you open in the same cabinet: there is no need to create a second profile.
The broker allows one profile per person but several trading accounts inside it. If money is already sitting on an MT4 account, it moves between your own accounts inside the cabinet.
Do not register a second time: two profiles for one person get both of them blocked.
The conditions are as published by the broker on the date they were read and may change. Trading on financial markets carries the risk of losing capital.
